Abe Katz replied to Sara Stave's discussion Iyun Tefillah in schools in the group Tfillah Educators
"Sara-I cannot comment as a teacher but I can comment as an observer. I can also provide the perspective of someone who attended Maimonides School in Brookline, MA at a time when Rabbi Isaiah Wohlgemuth, z’l, taught Beurei Hatefila to students…"

I am pleased to announce that the Beurei Hatefila Institute has published a comprehensive examination on Tefilas Shacharis that schools can use to test the level of knowledge their graduating students have accumulated concerning Tefilas Shacharis during their years at the schools.  Schools should choose whether to administer the full 102 question test or just selected questions.  The link to the test can be found on the home page of the Beurei Hatefila Institute website:…See More

Abe Katz commented on Abe Katz's blog post Reducing Day School Tuition
"I can understand that people would object to reducing the Jewish Studies portion of a Day School curriculum. However, in the face of rising tuition costs and the threat that charter schools will soon pose to those same schools, business as usual is…"
