  1. Please introduce yourself to the members of our group.
Tell us what you do in education
Tell us how you use technology in your work

Let me begin.

  1. I am a retired member of the clinical faculty of the College of Education at the University of Maryland. In 2001 when I retired I decided to focus my attention to Judaic education and teacher training.
  2. At the present time I train Judaic educators and teacher trainers on how to integrate technology into their instruction and staff development. I also write a blog on this subject about five times a week. If you wish to see my blog, click here. If you wish to see the courses I teach click here.
  3. Now it's your turn to share.

Hi everyone - I'm Daniel and since September I've been the Education Development Manager at World ORT. I live and work in the UK.
Previously I worked for 5 years as a high school teacher of Computing and ICT where I also had the role of e-learning coordinator. In this position I was responsible for implementing a school virtual learning environment but I took on many other projects such as introducing Google Apps, Nintendo DS consoles and training for Web 2.0 tools and interactive whiteboards. My MA researched how kids use Virtual Learning Environments.
I am a graduate and was a former education worker for the British Jewish movement FZY.
My main involvement in Jewish education is through my work on World ORT projects which being international tend to be technology focused. In a voluntary capacity I also help with Limmud conference and various Israel education and Jewish identity education projects.

I blog at www.nstoneit.com and am a big twitterer @nstone - my top tool for today (it changes every day) is voicethread.com

Daniel,

Welcome to our group. I really enjoyed reading your blog. It contained some very useful applications on how to integrate technology into the classroom. Shabbat Shalom, Richard

I think I'm already on it and will definitely share... but would be really super if you could leave a comment on the voicethread with a link to it - it's quite exciting getting international participation even if not in person!
